I can't believe its Monday!

Ambers bday party went great!! They all showed up and she had a ball. Bowling, games, they didn't mind my small attempt at decorating and the favors were a huge hit!!

I tried to make sure to get pictures of them before the cake smashing (yes on each other but it was innocent) and the bowling tunnels.

They allowed them to do the cosmic bowling which worked out great - the bowling pin sippers glow in the dark and I had gotten them glow stick bracelets too.

Here's the cake, DQ ice cream cake and we got the bowling pins/ball cake toppers at a local party store.

Even Mike was having a ball - we both ended up using bowling pins :)

Another week has become a blur...

Schools almost out and I think the weeks are moving faster towards vacation lol.

With the warm weather I switched out Ambers closet and tried on last years clothes to see what fit. I've got a pile that needs to go - my one gf here in town needs to stop by and get it!

This past week I've done 2 parties and a couple catalog parties. Mike's been home since Friday :) and of course my house is a disaster now.

(before Mike got home and the house we clean) We had terminix come and spray since everyone else but us (knock on wood) have spider mites and we are fertilizing our lawns (which is supposed to make it worse). We put the lawn down a couple months ago in the fall and its coming in full now. So cool to see a green lawn!! We haven't had one since we moved in two years ago.

Still don't have my car - they've had it now for 2 weeks just to fix a gasket. I'm going this morning to go pick it up - and of course I got used to driving the rental trailblazer after awhile. I have no idea what's its going to be like driving my car again lol

Ambers bowling parties this weekend and I'm trying to get things together for it and of course couldn't find anything cute/bowling for plates or balloons so we went basic with a little color. We went out two days in a row to almost every party store and a couple candy places too. I had to fill the mini bowling pins and ended up with wrapped fruit flavored gum to put in it. They are bigger than I expected but still cute! We went to Dairy Queen and got an ice cream cake, they put leopard around the edge and then did a bowling lane on top (we found little pins and a bowling ball to put at the end) and then did happy birthday and her name. Cute!

And while we were out I got a text from my husband saying that Amber needed cupcakes for Friday for school - ugghhh - so we added walmart to the list of stores and picked up basic ones. They of course didn't have anything for bowling and had no picks to put in the cupcakes.

Todays agenda is to get the car, clean the house, air the house out since its supposed to be in the 70's and take a nap lol.

All in one!

I'm planning a bday party, being mom and dad, traveling to visit inlaws, having my car worked on, driving a rental I hate lol (most would love!)... sigh, just want to take a breath and relax!

Amber bday is coming up on the 25th! She wants a bowling party so I've got that booked and ready to go, her invites are coming in the mail tomorrow. Meanwhile I put together her goodie bags (of course ordering everything online lol) I bought CHEAP bowling bags and they arrived today they are BEAUTIFUL! The company shipped them next day, super fast!!

I ordered them through www.bowlingshirt.com, they had a few colors but Amber fell in love with the cheetah/leopard print lol

Then to top it off I found the cutest things at www.noveltybowlingstuff.com - ready? I thought they were TDF!! Bowling Pin Sippers, in Pink!!

AND! I found mini bowling pins to put candy in... I was told I had to stop there, POUT... I want to do so much more!!

Now, I just have to get the cake ordered and get some basic plates for pizza and cake.

Our bday present to Amber is a cell phone, YES I said a cell phone... still debating... I want to get her a bigger bike lol.

Can't they stay Young forever!!

......

Mike's been gone again for another 2 weeks, he'll be home Friday finally but then we only get him for a week :( He leaves again the day after Amber bday and is gone for 2 more weeks but this time in TX. I can't wait for all this training to be over with. lol I'd like to see my husband just for a little bit... sigh...

Meanwhile all this is going on... My car breaks down, I had the coolant flushed and then the car overheated and anti freeze leaked all over. First thought was that the water pump went but the car dealership said it was the gasket. Whatever! As long as the extended warranty covers it! But that left me with no car, no husband to help and having to figure out how to get a rental over the holiday weekend. I finally got the dealership to give me a rental for free, don't ask how that happened, no idea myself lol... I got a 2008 trailblazer. It's too high, the seat sucks and I can't wait to get back into my non gas guzzlin, low to the ground, comfy grand am.. lets hope (knock on wood) that it works and nothing else goes wrong!

Off to deal with the non sleepy monster lol...

Is it Hump Day already?

The weekend and the beginning of the week flew by!

Sat my family left and Sunday Mike left for training for 2 weeks. We had Ambers school play last night - they did 'The Years of Rock' and it was cute. She got a minute with her bud where she ran off stage and then came back on at the end of a joke with the 'bumbumba' drum and tamporine finish. Cute!

Of course my camera died so no pictures - took 2 with the cell phone and uhhh that didn't work - it was all light and nothing showed. Big Bummer :(

The Diet is going good - I lost 1 more pound this past week - not horrible, not great - I did eat out alot while family was here though so that could be why. I've set goals for myself - I'm trying!!

Meanwhile I'm working on my website and another one - planning parties and enjoying the quiet while everyone is gone and Ambers at school :)

The Blur of the Week...

Mom and Heather got in Sunday afternoon and the blur began lol

We watched a couple episodes of Charmed on Sunday, simple enough. Monday after getting Amber off to school we went and got mani's and pedi's - we'll since I'm a foot freak I just opted for the mani and it turned into getting gel nails lol. I LOVE them!! So much nicer than the regular tips and they are soo thin. Of course we ate out - I was good and brought home half my lunch :)

Tuesday was hair day lol - my mom wanted to get her hair done but our salon in Pec was closed on Monday so I got us all in - mom got the grays out with a cute auburn brown color and I had layers put in. Heather had an hour long facial where they rubbed her feet (shiver lol) and legs too. I did a half hr facial - first time ever and while it was great I don't think I'll do it again. Just a weird feeling of gook all over your face and someone touching it lol I know I'm odd...

Yesterday was a ball - i grabbed my neighbor and we headed out the outlet malls in Huntley. Well what a mistake - it was gusting winds in the 50mph and its an outside strip mall... so after we got there (after a couple turn arounds and missing exits lol) we heading to woodfield mall and shopped like crazy. I LOVE aeropostale for Amber and my favorite store Torrid was there. My mom insisted we eat at the Cheesecake Place - I couldn't say no. I behaved and really enjoyed myself. We left and headed home - grabbing the garmin and programming in the nearest starbucks for my coffee insane sister and us frappachino lovers... we laughed our asses off the entire 2hr ride home! I couldn't have asked for a better outing.

Today I'm relaxing at home, gettign some website work done, putting in a large open house order and listening to the silence. My sister took my mom to the casino in Iowa! lol I hope they win :)
