I think my eyes are adjusting from all the reading today. This series has sucked me in (no pun intended) and I just can't get enough of it. Frostbite is the second book in the series (see the list on the right to find the first book review Vampire Academy). Rose and Lissa are at the academy and learn about more Moroi deaths just like the first one, being christmas season and now having new issues to deal with they (the novices from the academy) become secluded with royals and guardians, not wanting to split up, they stay together in a larger more secure group.
Rose grows up so much in this book and its the first time I felt myself coming to tears reading a vampire book. This book is more about Rose - her love affairs - if you can call them that and what she learns about herself and what she can accomplish. New characters are revealed making it twist a little and they loose one of their own. The author has really put herself into the book pulling out every detail about Rose - you feel like you know her, can feel what she feels. It's fantastic.
Author Notes:
Rose has serious guy trouble. Her gorgeous tutor, Dimitri, has his eye on someone else, her friend Mason has a huge crush on her, and she keeps getting sucked in her friends Lissa's head whole she's making out with her boyfriend, Christian.
There's a nearby Strigoi attack pt St Vladimir's on high alert, adn the Academy whisks its students away on a mandatory holiday ski trip. But the glittering winter landscape and posh Idaho resort only provide the illusion of safety. When three students run away to strike back against the deadly Strigoi, Rose must join forces with Christian to rescue them. Only this time, Rose - and her heart - are in more danger than she ever could have imagined...
