Do you Poken? lol I had the same reaction when I read that too - What's a Poken?
The easiest way for me to explain Poken is to say its a unique business card - you have this small creature of your choice (here's two) and the hand pulls out to reveal a USB port that you plug into your computer and download everything from flickr to facebook with your personal information.
How do I use Poken?
I LOVE this feature - once you download the information and you meet someone with a Poken you simply press the button on the hand and put the hands together to PASS you information. NO more loosing business cards, phone numbers or forgetting what their name was!! It's all there when you go home and download it!
Not only are they cute they are functional and reasonably priced (Under $20!). We even have a code for 15% off!! Just put in code PokenMyFriend.
Want a chance to win one of your own Pokens? Just go to PokenZoo.com and come back here and tell me which character is your favorite! Don't forget to mention your email address so I can reach you.

I discovered Shutterfly this morning... love it!! http://serpefamilyil.shutterfly.com/
I spent a little time uploading pictures - you can upload more than one album at a time and since my photos are already sorted in albums it was easy - I did the dishes while uploading several albums at once! Now that Mike has gotten me a new camera - I'm lovin' it!
I've got to admit I'm a camera addict. I will take tons of pictures of almost anything we've got going on. Amber has about 6 photo albums from her growing up - then 2 custom ones for Halloween and Christmas. I even have wall collages of her growing up over the years. She only just turned 12! By the time she leaves for college I'll have a library full!
Now I just need to learn how to use all the cool features! Ok I've got to admit its a bit much for me - I used to have the floppy disk camera (stop laughing) the one that you put in and could do 15 pictures with and then had to shove a new disk in. No adjustment, just taking straight pictures. THEN I got the little camera, it was so basic that there was only one thing to do - point and shoot. This thing has a dozen options and its all digital. I've got alot to learn!
Check our ClickinMoms and learn with me how to take cool pictures!!

I don't keep inventory so I have one small rolling suitcase that comes with catalogs, order forms and such with a couple displays.

Ok now I see why my husband suggest going to Northpoint Clinic! I was in and out in a matter of minutes. I even got an xray! Why was I there? I had a mysterious bruise appear on my wrist and somehow it swelled up to a golf ball. The doctor kept asking where I got it from and that one I couldn't answer, I had no idea when it happened I just noticed it after putting Amber to bed Sunday night...
This past weekend I worked the Pec Thing Fair at Pecatonica IL at the Winnebago Fair Grounds. I was doing a booth for Uppercase Living. When I set up the tables I might have banged my wrist but that was Friday. I didn't do much else all weekend but talk and do examples for customers who entered the booth. Sunday evening I took down everything but only took down 2 small 4' tables since we could leave the rest of them up for the fairgrounds to take down. Not alot of work for me and I was done in minutes. So not really anything that I could have done to bang it on.
Here I sit with a wrap on my hand and no reason for the Hematoma that appeared. At least its not fractured or broken. But it hurts to do anything - of course its my right hand lol... which I do EVERYTHING with!

Amber's first school dance has arrived and I'm not ready for it! We went shopping Friday for the dress with a girlfriend and after (I swear!) 80 dresses she picked 3 and we brought one back on Sunday. Here are the two she's deciding on...
The first one is the pink one is a baby doll dress with spaghetti straps and an awesome middle that has sequins!! The best part was that it was on clearance from $50 to $10... so it was a keeper lol
The second dress is the green shimmer one, it has a satin sash that ties in the back, has a straight across the front and thicker straps - Dad approved this one more lol
Amber found the cutest shoes (after trying on a dozen thin high heeled ones). She bought white shoes from payless that are white with sparkles on them.
(These shoes but in white)
Hair things to put her hair up with and a headband to put in front. I guess that's the style now, we'll see how this all goes down later.
We finished it off with earings that are cute little dangly stars. I need to get her a necklace but there's one I saw downtown that was cute and inexpensive. The total damage so far was $75 but it was worth it to see dad crying when she came out in the dresses :)

Mike's work does special little things ever now and then and this past weekend was one of them. We were lucky enough to have good weather to enjoy it!
We went on a dinner cruise on the Mississippi - 2 hrs of sight seeing and then we hit the local casino for 2 hrs - walked out with our money and an additional $66! lol not alot but it was fun :) We stayed the night at the hotel and then drove home. Grandma came in from Wisconsin to babysit - Mike picked her up and then had to drive her home. Poor guy drove 3 hrs to wisconsin, 2 hrs to the boat and then the reverse the next day. He was exhausted.
On our way back we saw the windmill city - there's tons of them and you can get really close in one area and be right next to it on the road. We stopped and rolled down the windows - I've always wanted to know if you could hear them. There's a nearby town that wants to get them but some of the people have signs in their yards saying 'No Windmills'. I honestly only heard a soft thumping sound and it was peacefull. Now i'm not sure how I'd like a big metal arm flying in the wind near my home, what if it fell off?? lol
We've just been relaxing at home, fertilizing and seeding the new lawn. Mike got to mow it for the first time yesterday lol - its so nice and plush in the front but the backyard is AWEFUL! We are waiting another 2 weeks and then calling the company that did it. It's really bare and there's tons of weeds. Of course we can't spray the weeds since its a new lawn :(
Me with straight hair for once. I am thinking of getting it straightened permanently. So much easier to brush!!
